Temp-Pro’s support of OEMs has led to our involvement in global projects, as is the case of the Ashalim Power Station in Israel, located close to the Sinai Peninsula in the southern border nearing Egypt. This CSP plant required the expertise of Temp-Pro in the integration of a full range of industrial thermometers and related components, which allow for temperature monitoring in this massive array of energy generation equipment.
The complex nature of CSP plants requires the integration of RTDs and thermocouples throughout the system, allowing its operators to monitor shifts in temperature due to the nature of solar power, which can change with seasons, weather conditions and other physical factors. The critical nature of such components in the efficient operation of a CSP plant requires the knowledge and experience that only an experienced company like Temp-Pro can deliver.
Measuring temperature shifts in parabolic trough systems, curved-mirror trough systems, reflectors, power towers, and dish-engines requires a high level of durability in temperatures that can top 1,200° F. In addition, boilers, turbines, generators, and other components share many similarities with conventional power generation equipment, which Temp-Pro has already been serving for decades.
